7. Looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt from the progression from it to the full product?

Since doing the preliminary task my ability to use technology has improved. I have learnt how to use Photoshop and InDesign, because of this my music magazine looked more professional than the college one because I could edit it more, for example, editing the colours of images and removing any smudges from the camera lens. When making the college magazine I didn’t experiment with different shot angles, whereas with the music magazine I tried using a range of shot types, such as high angles shots, low angle shots, birds eye view and close ups.
For the college magazine I did not research deeply into the target audiences likes and dislikes etc. however with the music magazine I researched in much more depth into what their hobbies are by using things like findyourtribe.co.uk, I then made a user profile including all the things that they like. This gave me a clearer view on the sort of articles and advertisements that needed to be in my magazine.
